RAFTING

A whitewater- and adrenaline-rich rafting weekend for beginners and advanced. You can paddle in a small or big boat on the waves of the Salza. One day and whole weekend white water rafting tours for families, groups of friends and also for companies.

CANYONING

We descend along the creekbed, following the stream and crossing waterfalls. We slide, jump and rapel with ropes on stones polished smooth by the water.

Amateur climbing attached to cables. Ladders and stakes help you progress on routes of varying difficulty, you just have to like heights. 😉

Want to fly on colourful wings? Paragliding offers the freest form of flying – you can fly away from the ground in both the physical and mental sense of the word.

ZIPLINE

About 100 km from our base is the zipline site in Gröbming, which is 2.5 km long and starts at an altitude of 1600 m! There are 4 cables stretched side by side and you can slide at speeds of up to 115 km/h at about 120 metres above the ground! Fun guaranteed, a must for adrenaline junkies before or after rafting!

Downhill bringapark Königsbergben Ausztriában

DOWNHILL BIKE PARK

The downhill track in Königsberg promises an exciting programme for the bike fans – you can try your hand at wading through the woods on a small trail where you have to deal with the roots and the steepness, and where some sections of the track are connected by wooden poles. You can also have an andrenaline rush on the wooden bike park elements, full of jumps, pump tracks and more. You can also go through this as a beginner, the more speed the more enjoyable the course becomes… 😉

Participation requirements: no previous training is required, but it is recommended to have some biking experience.

Hiking

Wasserlochklamm vízesés túra Ausztriában

WATERFALL HIKE

 You can easly fit a visit to the Wasserlochklamm waterfalls in Palfau into your rafting weekend, which is less than 10 km away from our base. The tour starts from the bank of the Salza, with varied terrain including suspension bridges, stairs and five spectacular waterfalls. At the end of the trail you will have a breathtaking panorama of the river and the surrounding mountains.

Kilátó a Hochkar tetején Ausztriában

HOCHKAR LOOKOUT

The Sky-Tour, the panoramic lookout tower at Hochkar, was built in June 2015 at an altitude of 1760 metres. The new feature of the lookout is a steel structure that protrudes 8 metres from the cliff, from which you can look down and see 120 metres below. If you continue, you can cross a 62-metre-long suspension bridge, from where you can see all the way down to the Danube valley. Breathtaking!

Mendlingtali tanösvény túra Ausztriában

MENDLING VALLEY NATURE TRAIL

In the Mendling Valley, younger or older age is no obstacle, as this is an easy, safe hike of about 2.5 km with no climbs, lasting only an hour and a half. It winds its way through fairytale-like paths: you can discover the beautiful hiking trail by stepping over carved bridges and paths. You can spend precious moments here, learning how the locals made a living from logging and how they harnessed the power of water to process wood. A special floating technique was used to bring huge logs from the depths of the forest using the power of the stream.

Medve-szurdok túra Ausztriában

BÄRENSCHÜTZKLAMM GORGE

The Bärenschützklamm gorge is one of the largest gorge valleys in Austria. This unique natural treasure was declared a natural value in 1978. It is located near the village of Mixnitz at an altitude of 479 metres above sea level, 40 km north of Graz. This winding little village can be considered the entrance to the gorge. At the other end of the gorge is the Guten Hirten refuge at 1209 metres above sea level.

Taking yourself on a bike tour in the area requires minimal mountain bike knowledge and average physical fitness. Unbeatable views of the Styrian mountains from 1300-1700 metres, mountain huts, clearings where you can refresh yourself, eat your snacks, in the greatest silence, with the birds singing the melody of nature.

Ybbstali sófürdő Ausztriában

SALT BATH

The Ybbstaler Solebad (Ybbstal Salt Bath) in Göstling attracts mainly winter sports fans, but also welcomes guests on holiday in the warmer months. Whenever you visit, you’ll find a wonderful refreshing experience! The spa offers a wide variety of pools. The swimming, adventure and children’s pools (with baby slide) are heated to a pleasant 32°C. The spa pool is filled with natural salt water.

Wildalpeni erdei szauna Ausztriában

FOREST SAUNA

In the forest sauna in Wildalpen you can relax in a very special setting: in the depths of the forest there are 3 wooden huts with saunas, and from the huts you can take a very short walk to the 5-8°C water of the mountain stream to cool off! There is also a swimming pool in one of the buildings, and in the area next to the huts, you can lie on a deckchair and listen to the birds singing.

About 25 km from the base, a crystal-clear lake nestles in the mountains in Landl, a paradise for beach lovers. Fresh air, a grassy area for sunbathing, a volleyball court for a game of beach volleyball – the Landl lake has it all. Best of all, you can cycle from the hotel to the beach, so you can combine active sports with relaxation. If you get hungry, there’s a bar and restaurant by the lake.

Melki apátság Ausztriában

MELK ABBEY

St Benedict’s Abbey is located along the Danube and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over 900 years old, the abbey is a baroque building. The most important part of the building after the church is the library, which contains over 100 000 volumes, including a fragment of the Nibelung hymn from the 13th century. Every day, crowds of visitors and tourists from all over the world make a pilgrimage to the complex to admire the magnificent beauty of this architectural masterpiece.

Wildalpeni vízvezeték múzeum Ausztriában

SPRINGWATER MUSEUM

Visitors can learn all about the construction and history of the drinking water pipeline to Vienna. A seven-minute 3-D film gives an insight into Vienna’s water supply, 60% of which comes from the Hochschwab area.

Erzbergi ércbánya Ausztriában

ERZBERG MINE

The mines of the Schaubergwerk Erzberg are open to all visitors. It is the largest and oldest iron ore mine in Central Europe. Today the ore mountain is 1465 metres high, but in its heyday it peaked at 1534 metres. It has been mined for thousands of years, and is still mined today, using an open pit method.
The spectacular mine is located 1.5 kilometres away in the belly of the Erzberg (Ore Mountain). The mountain is inexhaustible, with 140 million tonnes of ore still waiting to be mined.
