Unwind on the Danube while admiring the never-before-seen face of Budapest! Forget about the standard programme/sightseeing tours and get the experience of a lifetime in a large raft boat as we float between the bridge piers, admiring the city’s most beautiful spots from the water!
Why choose us:
› More than 15 years of experience on the water
› Trained guides with international guiding certification + 2nd place in WWRC water rescue and guiding competition
› Family atmosphere, we’ll pay attention to you
› Full, fast, professional service
› 100% satisfaction guarantee, click for details
We meet at the parking lot behind Rozmaring Restaurant, where we will hand out the equipment, give a short training and then we are off! You can literally do the leg-hanging in the water here, but that’s not what the trip is about, you have to actively paddle to admire Budapest’s most beautiful sights. This kind of sightseeing is special not only because you’ll get the most natural experience as you paddle under Budapest’s most famous bridges, but also because you’ll feel the pleasure of movement and the benefits of some light sport. Here you don’t have to choose between the Buda or Pest side of the river, as you’ll get to see both sides at the same time!
During the trip we will pass by the green Margaret Island, pass under all the famous bridges (Margaret, Elisabeth, Liberty, Petőfi, Rákóczi), and pass by the Parliament, Buda Castle, Várkert Bazaar, Palace of Arts and the National Theatre.
Túránk végén a Rákóczi híd előtt kötünk ki a Budai alsó rakparton, ahova kisbuszunk leviszi minden személyes holmid.
At the end of our trip, we will end up in front of the Rákóczi Bridge on the Buda Lower embankment, where our van will take all your personal belongings to.
Participation requirements: swimming ability is an advantage on the trip, but not compulsory. For children under the age of 16 and for those who cannot swim, the use of a life jacket (which will be provided) is compulsory throughout the trip.
The minimum age is 6-8 years – at which point the child can sit in one place easily for 1.5-2 hours.
Difficulty: the trip is suitable for anyone and requires no special physical fitness or paddling experience. The length of the trip is 7.5 km, which takes about 1.5-2 hours downstream
Recommended equipment:
› The raft boats have holes on the bottom where some water may flow backwards, so bring slippers or change of shoes.
› You can bring a water bottle or small snacks with you on the trip, which can be stored in a dry bag.
Weather: depending on the current weather, it is important to wear a hat, protect the back of your head, use sun cream – and be prepared with appropriate clothing for less than ideal weather as well (rain, wind, lower temperatures).
